“The butcher paper on the exam tables. It’s 2010, that’s really still the best option?”
“That everything is WHITE. It makes me more nervous than I already am.”
“Bad magazines/no magazines in waiting rooms/exam rooms.”
“Just being around all the other sick people.”
“The wait!!! But not waiting in the waiting room but in the exam room where there are no magazines to read! That is definitely the worst part.”
“Depending on the doctor, the uncaring feeling you get… like they are just trying to rush you out of there.”
“I hate that my doctor’s office doesn’t call to confirm appointments anymore. I’m forgetful. I need reminders.”
“Questions formed as if they really don’t want the answers anyway…example today at the doc: You don’t have a family history of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc. etc. right? No other questions…right….ugh. I don’t even bother to stop them.”
“The office help forgets what it’s like being a patient – nasty attitudes, impatience with patients.”
“No freaking clocks!”
“Receptionists who think you should know their routine.”
“When they tell me I have to get a shot and make me panic for 20 minutes while they get the needle ready. “
“How even though you walked in the exam room not that long ago as soon as you go to leave, you have no idea how to get back to the waiting room!”
“How they sometimes make you change into those weird gross gowns.”
